NAMI- National Alliance on Mental Health- Coastal Virginia
The National Alliance on Mental Illness-Coastal Virginia is a non-profit grassroots organization and the voice for those affected by serious mental illness. Through ongoing education and training programs, support groups, and a helpline, we connect to people with the goal of improving the quality of life for individuals living in recovery, and their families. NAMI Coastal Virginia advocates at the local, state and national levels to eradicate the stigma associated with mental illness, and is committed to improving the lives of people and organizations in our community through free educational classes, support groups, programs, and community-wide inclusion.
A NAMI Connection support group for those living with a mental health condition is offered at Chesapeake Integrated Healthcare at 224 Great Bridge Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23320 every Monday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in group room A.
For information on other free classes and support groups, call 757-499-2041 or check their website at www.namicoastalvirginia.org.
