Family Nutrition Program
The Family Nutrition Program (FNP) focuses on reducing the health care costs for low income families by providing education to youth and adults on healthy eating, active living, safe food handling and thrifty food shopping. By participating in our educational programs, participants become healthier, more productive citizens who further contribute to Virginia's social and economic stability.
The FNP (EFNEP-Youth) Program Assistant is able to accomplish the above by offering the following:
- Cooking and Nutrition Lessons
- Motivational lessons on how to cook better, plan better and become more active
- Weight management support
