During the Community Meeting, the City Manager and City staff discussed the City's telecommunications interest, needs, and demands, particularly with regard to broadband, and will seek input from the community regarding the same.
City staff also discussed its interest in applying for a Virginia Telecommunications Planning Initiative grant to assist with the funding to support the City's telecommunications initiatives.
You can watch the meeting online. The welcome from Mayor Alan Krasnoff was delivered without a microphone, and therefore the audio is very low on the recording. The welcome from CIO Peter Wallace begins at approximately 10 minutes into the meeting.
More information about this project will be posted here when it's available.
