Environmental Awards Program
The CEIC Environmental Awards Program is an annual celebration to recognize those individuals, groups, or organizations that have been involved in outstanding recycling, beautification, litter control, and environmental projects in Chesapeake.
Nominate individual, group or organization accomplishments by completing and submitting a nomination form. Photographs, news clips, letters of endorsement, and other documentation may be submitted and are encouraged to substantiate claims made in your nomination form.
One award is presented in each of these categories:
- Business & Industry
- Community and Communications
- Community Organization - Adult
- Community Organization - Youth
- Educational Institution
- Government Agency
- Innovation in Recycling, Reusing or Repurposing
Nominations will be accepted through March 31, 2021 and must be based on activities conducted between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. [Nominations are closed for 2020]
Winning entries will be recognized at an awards luncheon in 2022.Congratulations to all of the previous award recipients! The mission of the CEIC is to promote litter prevention, recycling and beautification by providing citizens an opportunity to get involved at the grassroots level to help keep Chesapeake clean and green.
