Locality License Plate for Beautification and Conservation Committee
A City of Chesapeake Locality License Plate for Beautification and Conservation can be purchased at any Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office or on the DMV website. The plate costs $25 plus the cost of registration. A personalized plate is an additional $10. Of the $25, $15 will be used to fund Chesapeake beautification projects and is tax deductible. To request use of License Plate funds for a beautification project, please complete and return this form.
History of the Program
In 1995, City Council Member Alan P. Krasnoff proposed the concept of the City license plates. City Council voted to approve the plates and directed that the funds be used for beautification projects and the plates be promoted and managed by the Chesapeake Environmental Improvement Council (CEIC).
