Station 3: Indian River
Station 3 is approximately 10,000 square feet building and houses 24 firefighters, six on duty each 24 hour shift. Station 3 also has one Engine Company, and an ALS medic company. Station 3 protects a very diverse area, ranging from low-income housing to multi-million dollar waterfront homes, as well as small businesses to large industrial businesses, including multi-story hotels.
Station 3 is the home of the John Hudgins and Frank Young Memorial. Frank and Johnny were 2 CFD firefighters who gave their lives while attacking the fire from the inside the Advanced Auto Parts Store in the Indian River Shopping Center on March 18 1996.
