Why have left turns been prohibited from northbound George Washington Hwy S onto westbound Moses Grandy Trail?

In collaboration with Traffic Engineering, the Chesapeake Police Department, and the Traffic Engineering consultant, it has been determined that prohibiting these left turns will reduce congestion and improve driver safety in this particular area.  Traffic Engineering will continue to monitor traffic patterns and flow throughout the duration of construction and make recommendations and necessary changes accordingly.
