Phase 2 of the Mt. Pleasant Widening Project is underway! This project will widen Mt. Pleasant Road from Cooper's Ditch Bridge to Centerville Turnpike by constructing a center turn lane. Construction is expected to last through fall 2024 with various lane closures taking place throughout. Current Travel Advisories
- Speed limit reduced to 35mph
- February 20 & 21: There will be an eastbound lane closure on Mount Pleasant Rd, at Coopers Ditch Bridge, near Fentress Rd, overnight on February 20 and 21 from 8:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. to allow for continued work on the Mt Pleasant Rd Phase 2 Widening Project. Flaggers will direct traffic.
- Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction from Cooper's Ditch Bridge to Centerville Turnpike for the duration of construction.
- Additional lane closures and flagging operations are possible throughout construction as needed. All work will be deconflicted with work on surrounding roadways to the extent possible.
