Gilmerton Bridge Extended Weekend Closure

Update: Due to weather conditions, the Gilmerton Bridge closure scheduled for the weekend of April 7 is CANCELED. The bridge will remain OPEN to vehicle traffic the weekend of April 7. The closure is expected to resume the weekend of April 14.
Update: Due to weather conditions, the Gilmerton Bridge closure scheduled for the weekend of March 31 is CANCELED. The bridge will remain OPEN to vehicle traffic the weekend of March 31. The closure is expected to resume the weekend of April 7.
The Gilmerton Bridge on South Military Highway will continue to be closed on the weekends throughout the month of April, weather permitting, to allow for important bridge improvements. A marked detour utilizing I-64 will be in place during the closures. Please follow the posted detour signage.
