Invasive Plant Removal Days

Volunteers are needed to remove invasive plants at the Chesapeake Arboretum. There will be a brief orientation before walking about 10 minutes along a trail to the invasive removal site. You will be instructed on how to properly remove the invasive species.  It’s important to bring your own water container, snack, sunscreen, and bug spray, wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes, and dress for the conditions. There will be a water refill station and port-a-john near the work site. Work gloves and tools will be provided, but please bring your own if you’d prefer. 
Shifts are 9 AM - Noon and 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Ages 14 and up.
