Prescription Drug Collection Unit The Chesapeake Police Department provides our citizens with a safe and secure location to discard expired, unwanted, or unused prescription controlled substances. Our Med Return collection box is located in the lobby at Police Headquarters, 304 Albemarle Drive. The Med Return collection box is only for Schedule II through Schedule V controlled and non-controlled substances. The following items are not accepted: needles or syringes, sharps or epi-pens, IV bags, thermometers or other mercury-containing items, empty containers, illegal drugs, or paraphernalia, and personal care items. The prescription drug collection box is available for citizen disposal only and is not intended for use by pharmaceutical representatives or medical offices to discard unwanted medications.
