E-Filing

Virginia Judiciary E-Filing SystemThe Clerk of the Circuit Court is pleased to offer the legal community the ability to electronically file documents for certain civil actions through the Virginia Judiciary E-Filing System (VJEFS). VJEFS is an automated filing system developed by the Supreme Court of Virginia, Office of the Executive Secretary that integrates with the Circuit Court Clerk's existing Case Management, Imaging and Financial Management Systems. This enhanced accessibility will maximize productivity and improve efficiency for the Circuit Court Clerk's Office and the local attorney.

E-filed cases requiring service should include a letter advising how the parties are to be served and by whom. (This letter should be scanned as the last document of the filing). If copies are to be made by the Clerk's Office for service, additional fees of $.50 per page will be added. To avoid the additional fees, copies may be sent via first-class mail to the Clerk's Office for service.

To enroll please download and complete the Firm Application and send an email to S. Boudouris, by first class mail or hand delivery (Attention: E-Filing Enrollment).
