At times, holidays may change the garbage collection schedule but often collections will take place as scheduled even when City offices are closed. The changes to trash collection are as follows:
2023
Monday, June 19-Juneteenth-no changes to collection
Tuesday, July 4-no collection on Holiday (normal operations will resume Wednesday, July 5 through Saturday, July 8)
Monday, September 4-Labor Day-no changes to collection
Monday, October 9-Columbus Day and Yorktown Victory Day-no changes to collection
Tuesday, November 7-Election Day-no changes to collection
Friday, November 10-Veterans Day-no changes to collection
Thanksgiving Holiday:
Wednesday, November 22-half day-no changes to collection
Thursday, November 23-no collection on Holiday (Saturday, November 25 will be an additional collection day)
Friday, November 24-no changes to collection
Christmas Holiday:
Friday, December 22-half day-no changes to collection
Monday, December 25-no collection on Holiday (normal operations will resume on Tuesday, December 26)
