CITY OFFICES CLOSE IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY
CHESAPEAKE – Chesapeake City government offices, courts, libraries and community centers will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25. Library book drops will remain open during the holiday closing period.
There will be no trash collection on Monday, May 25. Monday’s collection will be picked up on Wednesday, May 27.
Chesapeake’s Mayor’s Commission on Veterans’ Affairs will hold a wreath laying ceremony at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 25, at the Veteran’s Memorial in front of City Hall. The public is invited to attend and to add their own wreaths to those being placed by the Commission.
