VICE-MAYOR RECOVERING FOLLOWING HEART SURGERY
CHESAPEAKE – Vice-Mayor Dwight Parker issued the following statement today, related to his recent surgery.
“My heart surgery procedure was a success and I am now recuperating at home. The doctors advise me that this will be a slow process but that I am doing well. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my many friends for their prayers, cards, flowers, and other acts of kindness to both my family and me during this challenging time. Friends are welcome to call my house and speak with my wife concerning my progress. My family and I wish each of you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. May God bless each of you.”
The Vice-Mayor expects to return to his teaching duties at Deep Creek High School and to his position with the Chesapeake City Council as quickly as possible following his recovery.
