JORDAN BRIDGE REVISED HEIGHT RESTRICTION

| DATES: | Effective August 1, 2007 |
| INFORMATION: | The Jordan Bridge, which connects Chesapeake with Portsmouth across the southern branch of the Elizabeth River, will have a revised height restriction. The current vertical vehicle clearance is 14 feet, six inches, which will be revised to nine feet. This change was made in order to preserve the bridge for commuters by limiting the number of oversized vehicles. |
