Katrina Finch

Hi, my name is Katrina Finch and I attend Deep Creek High School. I am involved in the Drama Club and I am also the secretary of the National Honor Society. Overall, my experience at Mayors Youth Day has been great! I believe it is very important for young adults to become more involved with their community. My mentors for the day have taught me a lot about what they do to improve this city, and I never really understood how much effort goes into making Chesapeake what it is today. These people really love it here, and it shows.

In the fall I'm going to be attending James Madison University, where I plan on majoring in International Business, Studies, or Relations. I never really knew how much I enjoyed public communications until I got this opportunity, so it is also an option for me. This experience has really opened my eyes to other career possibilities that I never even thought of.
