Precious S. White

Hello, My name is Precious White and I am a senior at Hickory High School. I am involved in many school activities including being the Secretary of the senior class, the President of the Psychology Club, the President of the CHROME Club, and Captain of the Varsity Softball team.

In the fall, I will be continuing my education at the United States Naval Academy where I plan on studying engineering.

My involvement in my high school granted me the chance to be a part of Mayor's Youth Day. Working with the Public Communication Department was truly a treat. I was given the chance to work on a broadcast of Newsbreak.

Also, I attended the Fire Department's demonstration at City Park and filmed the event and several interviews. I would have to say that carrying around a 20-lbs. camera is no easy task.

I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with everyone who works in the department of Public Communication, especially Mr. Heath Covey. Even though my job dealt with the "behind the scenes" life of Chesapeake, I have decided that it is the best department in the city!
