The Fifth Precinct is located in the Greenbrier section of the City, which contains the largest retail shopping area in the State of Virginia. Patrol Officers in the Fifth Precinct are responsible for 33.4 miles of the City's 353 total square miles (9.46%). This Precinct covers 5 of the City's 24 daytime Patrol Beats. The Fifth Precinct Command is responsible for managing and supervising the Department’s Police Explorer Program.
