Dispatcher Trainee Position Listings
Dispatcher Trainee positions are filled from an eligibility list and applications are taken year-round (with an occasional brief interruption when changing the posting information and compiling applicant listings) through the City of Chesapeake's C.L.I.C.K. job application process (link below). The eligibility list ranks applicants based on a performance testing and interview process. When completed, each applicant remains on the eligibility list for a one-year period, from the date of their interview. The top-ranked positions on the eligibility list are used to fill vacancies when Dispatcher Trainees are hired.
Note: BOTH the Police Dispatcher Trainee Application AND the City of Chesapeake C.L.I.C.K application are required when applying for this position.
