Chesapeake Medical Reserve Corps

The Chesapeake Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a component of the Citizen Corps Council. In cooperation with the Chesapeake Health Department, CMRC volunteers (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, EMTs, nurses’ assistants, administrators, other health professionals as well as non health professionals) work with regular medical professionals and facilities during a large scale emergency such as a disease epidemic, or a hazardous chemical release. MRC volunteers also serve a vital role by assisting with Chesapeake’s overall public health needs.
