Hands Only CPR

According to the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, there are over 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) annually in the U.S., nearly 90% of them fatal, according to the American Heart Association. Bystanders and family are not helpless to assist. In most cases they can provide vital support that will dramatically increase the victim's chances for survival.
Hands-Only CPR is the chest compression part of traditional CPR. If you will do chest compressions until we get there, you will help give the victim their best chance at a good outcome. During these FREE training sessions we will show you how to do Hands-Only CPR and how to use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). The training takes approximately 1 hour and the course is designed for citizen responders.
The next step in the chain of survival is the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) in cardiac arrest survival. Many AEDs are now available in public places. It doesn't require certification to use. Just pull it off the wall and follow the simple 1-2-3 steps.
Does your building or company have an AED? The PulsePoint AED App can be used to help responders locate this lifesaving piece of equipment. Register your AED here, if anyone calls 911 from your location, we can give them instructions over the phone on exactly where to find the AED and how to use it.
