Important Temporary Change DUE TO COVID-19:
The Chesapeake Commissioner of the Revenue's Office is open to the public; however, we strongly encourage citizens to conduct business by mail, email, fax, phone, or dropbox at one of our four office locations. Please call 757-382-6730 to determine if coming into the office is necessary.
Notarization requirements for the Personal Property forms listed below are temporarily waived. Submittal of all other supporting documentation is still required.
Please be aware that our forms must be completed, printed and signed before remitting to the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office (with the exception of any forms that can be submitted online). A completed and signed form can be either scanned and sent as an email attachment, faxed or mailed to the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office. Online forms provide the option of submitting the form electronically to our office.
