Vic Wilson Biography
Vic began her position as the new Process Improvement Officer on July 22, 2019. She holds a BA in Science Education from Virginia Wesleyan, and a Master of Management from Cambridge College. Vic is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a Project Management Institute (PMI) credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP).
Vic comes to us with a diverse background in process improvement (PI) across the department of defense, healthcare, and private organizations. Most recently, Vic worked for NOVACES, a management consulting firm, and supported the Navy Bureau of Medicine physicians and nurses at Portsmouth Naval by identifying improvement opportunities and mentoring process improvement teams. Prior to that, Vic worked for Sentara Healthcare as a Sr. Process Engineer, supporting clinical improvements across a system of 12 hospitals and numerous practice offices. Vic also served as a PI consultant for Whitney, Bradley, and Brown, Inc. traveling the world from Guam to Singapore to Bahrain, conducting Lean Six Sigma training classes and mentoring students with their projects. In the early 2000s she worked for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, where her responsibilities included managing the Six Sigma Program and performing business process assessment.
