As we all continue to find ways to safely gather in the age of COVID-19, we here at the City are looking for new ways to provide opportunities for everyone to raise questions, concerns, and comments about their government. We’ve temporarily revamped our Town Meeting for December. Here’s what it’ll look like.
Starting on Monday, November 16, we’ll release an online survey that allows you to ask anything about your City. Do you have questions about a transportation project? Concerns about water service? Need information about a local park? The only thing we ask is that you keep your questions broad and reserve any individual requests for our Customer Contact Center (382-2489 or CityofChesapeake.net/Requests). The Customer Contact Center is the quickest way to get your individual questions answered.
Once the survey period ends on November 22, we’ll forward your questions and concerns to the appropriate department head who will record a video response, which we’ll share on our social media pages, the City website, and Chesapeake Television the week of December 7. Some questions may just be answered in writing on the City website as well.
The survey will be open November 16-22 and you can access it during that time on CityofChesapeake.net and at Facebook.com/CityofChesapeake.
