Chesapeake Police Department's Cold Case Homicide Investigations

The Chesapeake Police Department's Cold Case Homicide Investigations are handled by our Crimes Against Persons Squad. This section is staffed by ten detectives who are experienced to handle Homicides, Suspicious Deaths, Missing Persons, Robberies, Assaults and other violent criminal acts committed against individuals. They are supervised by the Detective Sergeant of the Crimes Against Persons (CAP) Squad. All ten detectives are utilized for the review and investigation of the City of Chesapeake's unsolved homicide cases.

Currently, there are numerous unsolved murders in Chesapeake and it is crucial that citizens and the police department work together in solving them. Any information regarding an unsolved case is greatly appreciated and may be the difference in bringing a killer to justice and bringing closure for the victim's family.
