“Step Up to the Plate” Initiative

Summer Baseball / Softball Clinic

WHAT: Baseball/Softball Clinic for Boys & Girls Ages 6 to 12 interested in learning/ improving Baseball/Softball skills to include Hitting, Fielding, Throwing, and Baserunning. Local High School coaches along with other community leaders with vast Youth Baseball coaching experience will manage the clinic and assist in running the drills.

WHEN: Thursday, August 4 to Sunday August 7, 2022

WHERE: The ballfields behind B.M. Williams Elementary School, 1100 N. Battlefield Boulevard

SCHEDULE:

• Thursday, August 4, and Friday, August 5, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Baseball Drills with lunch break from 12:00 to 12:45 (snacks and lunches provided)
• Saturday, August 6, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Exhibition games showcasing the Participants)
• Sunday, August 7, 4:00 p.m.: Norfolk Tides game (A limited number of tickets will be provided for the participants and their families)

COST: Free to all participants thanks to our generous community sponsors
