Chesapeake Farmers' Market
The Chesapeake Farmers’ Markets open from June 18th and usually end the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, at three different locations. Our markets promote locally grown produce, therefore we open in June, just as local produce begins to come in.
One location was at the Market Place covered shelter at the Chesapeake City Park, which is at 900 City Park Drive. The second Farmers' Market location was at the Western Branch Community Center at 4437 Portsmouth Boulevard. And the third location was at the Battlefield Park at 120 Reservation Road. This is an open air market beside the Albemarle Canal, on the south side of the Great Bridge bridge.
All markets have closed for the season. Please come out again next June, so you can again support our local farmers who will be offering fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, plants, eggs, honey, meats and value added products made from things grown on the farm.
Promote locally grown agricultural products to stimulate the farm economy and preserve our agricultural base. Provide an opportunity for citizens to enjoy fresh products directly from local farms.
