Dominion Blvd Collections Invoice
Did you receive a collection invoice from the City of Chesapeake for Dominion Blvd? Learn more here.
Why did I receive this letter?
Your vehicle was driven on the Dominion Boulevard Veterans Bridge toll road and three invoices were previously mailed to the address listed on file with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). These invoices have not been paid. As a result, the unpaid amount has been transferred to the City of Chesapeake Treasurer's office for delinquent collections.
What should I do now?
Please follow the instructions on the collection notice to make payment by the due date. Failure to pay this invoice within 45 days will result in the Treasurer's office taking legal action to collect delinquent fees, which may include a hold on your DMV vehicle registration.
How do I pay?
- PHONE: With credit card through automated phone system by calling 1-844-382-4426
- Select Option 6
- Enter the invoice number when prompted (found at the top right corner of delinquent toll invoice)
- ONLINE: Visit www.officialpayments.com
- Click on "local payments"
- Enter invoice number
- BY MAIL: Mail a check made out to "City Treasurer" to PO Box 16495, Chesapeake, VA 23325-6495
- IN PERSON: Bring cash or check to any City Treasurer locations listed on the back of the delinquent toll invoice
What if I'm still using the Dominion Boulevard Veterans Bridge?
You may also have current toll transactions if you continue to use the Dominion Boulevard Veterans Bridge toll facility. To prevent your current charges from being transferred to collections, please go to www.PayDominionTolls.com to make payment. Remember, each vehicle has its own account number so if you have more than one vehicle you must check them all. If you need assistance with obtaining account information for your current toll transactions or if you would like to make a payment by phone, call 855-813-9123.
How can I save money on future tolls?
Open a Virginia E-ZPass account. There are no maintenance costs or fees to open an account. You will pre-pay your tolls by funding your account with $35. Using a registered, funded E-ZPass account to pay your Dominion Boulevard Veterans Bridge tolls will save you $2 per trip and will not include any invoices, late fees or further collection measures. You must register your E-ZPass (to include the license plate numbers of your vehicles), keep your E-ZPass account fully funded and properly mount your transponder on your windshield. For help, call Virginia E-ZPass at 1-877-762-7824 or visit their website at www.EZPassVA.com.
