Holiday Tree Disposal & Recycling Tips
How do I dispose of my live Christmas tree?
For the two weeks after Christmas, you can dispose of your live Christmas tree by placing it at the curb (after removing all ornaments, lights and tinsel) on your scheduled garbage day. Be aware that your garbage day may change due to the holiday schedule. You do not need to schedule a bulk pickup. We are able to recycle trees starting during the second week of this collection. For that reason, we ask that you wait until the second week of tree collection to bring your tree to the curb so that your tree can be recycled.
For 2016/2017, the dates for Christmas tree collection are December 27 to Jan. 3. To be sure your tree gets recycled, please wait until January 4 to 13 to place it at the curb.
