Plaque Purchase Information
Are you looking for a unique gift for that special veteran? Personalized Veterans Memorial plaques are a great way to honor your veteran. Plaques are still available for a donation of $100 or more to the Chesapeake Veterans Memorial Fund. Personalized plaques are an excellent gift for retirement, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, birthdays, and many other special occasions. When you stop and think about it, you don't really need a special occasion to thank a veteran. Our veterans serve unselfishly in time of war and peace to preserve our way of life and unfortunately this is taken for granted by so many of us. What better way to show our gratitude than a personalized bronze plaque permanently installed in the Chesapeake Veterans Memorial for all to see.
You may have heard many names for the plaques installed in the Veterans Memorial. Names such as bricks, pavers, paver/plaques etc. In actuality, when the memorial was constructed, nearly two thousand 4 x 7.5 inch brick pavers were installed as the foundation of the memorial. The bricks are specially designed to hold the engraved 2 x 4.5 inch bronze plaques. Each plaque is permanently installed and held in place with a space-age adhesive. The pictures below show the brick paver, the bronze plaque, and the total package.
