Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare optimizes quality of life by providing exceptional services to the citizens of Chesapeake whose lives are affected by mental illness, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse, or developmental difficulties.
Board meetings are held the second Monday of each month (except when meeting dates fall on City holidays) at 5 p.m. in the Board's administrative offices at 224 Great Bridge Boulevard, Chesapeake, VA 23320. Board members are appointed by Chesapeake City Council and serve three-year terms. State Code requires one-third of the Board to be made up of family members of individuals receiving mental health, intellectual disability, or substance abuse services, and one member must be a person who is currently receiving or has received, Mental Health, Substance Abuse or Intellectual Disability services.
