Resources for Opioid Addiction
If you or someone you know wants help with an addiction to prescription opiates or heroin, CIBH now offers medication assisted treatment (MAT). Through our office based opiate treatment (OBOT) program, a licensed physician or nurse practitioner can prescribe medicine to reduce or eliminate symptoms of withdrawal and reduce cravings. Another benefit of our program is that you can receive your treatment in an outpatient setting rather than an inpatient detox program.
A comprehensive mental health and substance use assessment is required to determine if OBOT treatment is appropriate for you, or if another type of treatment would be more suitable. For more information, call 757-547-9334 Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and ask to speak to someone in our Intake department.
Do you want to learn how to help someone who is overdosing on heroin or other opiates? Attend our Revive! training on how to administer the life saving drug naloxone. Check our calendar to find an upcoming training near you.
For more information contact David Dillon at 757-536-6035.
