Mike Andruczyk began as the Virginia Cooperative Extension Agent in Horticulture for Chesapeake in January of 2005 and was promoted to Senior Extension Agent in Horticulture in July of 2019.

In 1993, he became the first Nursery and Greenhouse Supervisor at the Norfolk Botanical Garden, transitioned to Supervising Horticulturist and lastly as the Curator of Plant Collections. He has held various positions at the Morris Arboretum and the Boerner Botanical Garden and enjoys spending time on his one-acre property in Chesapeake.

Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science degree in Public Horticulture Administration from the University of Delaware - Longwood Graduate Program

Jason J. Brown is the Public Information Coordinator for the City of Chesapeake’s Public Works Department. Having served the department for a year and a half, he brings more than a decade of government and non-profit public affairs and media relations experience to the City.

Jason began his public affairs career in 2009, stationed here in Hampton Roads as a public affairs specialist in the U.S. Air Force, engaging the local, national and international communities with stories and information about Air Force and Army capabilities. After finishing his military service in 2016, he moved to Northern Virginia, where he served in media relations for a major national civil rights advocacy non-profit organization, before returning to Hampton Roads in 2018 to begin working for the City of Chesapeake.

He received an A.A.S. in Mass Communications through the Community College of the Air Force and is pursuing a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Additionally, he is a member of the American Public Works Association, the Chesapeake Environmental Improvement Council, and volunteers in the community as a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary.

Carol Warren was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia, is married with two children and one granddaughter.  Ms. Warren retired in 2012 from a career in banking.  She currently serves as a member of the Stormwater Committee Board for the City of Chesapeake and is a founding member of Friends of Indian River as Vice President.  She is also a member of the Elizabeth River Project, Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Sierra Club.  A lifelong lover of nature, Ms. Warren’s main goal now is to do all she can to help our planet become healthy for all its inhabitants, including plants, animals, and humans.

Calib Miller was born and raised in Blanchester, Ohio. A veteran marine, Calib has over a decade of project management, nonprofit management and sustainable food systems management experience. He recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Green Mountain College, earning his Master of Science Degree in Sustainable Food Systems. Calib looks forward to helping rebuild Chesapeake’s local food system and being an advocate for fellow veterans.
