Cambridge Square consists of one-bedroom apartments with a private patio or balcony. All floor plans include an intercom system, emergency pull cords, fully equipped kitchens and carpeted interiors. This facility is classified as Section 8 housing for the elderly and disabled.

The age requirements are as follows: The head or co-head of the household must be 62 years of age or older. Presently, there is a two year waiting list for all qualified seniors.

CHESAPEAKE CROSSING SENIORS COMMUNITY

The Chesapeake Crossing Seniors Community is comprised of three phases with one and two bedrooms available. Applicants must have a gross annual income of at least the below listed amounts:

One bedroom:	$12,576.00	or	$1,048.00 per month
Two bedroom:	$14,040.00	or	$1,170.00 per month

Applications for Section 8 are also accepted.

The age requirements are as follows:

• The head or co-head of the household must be 55 years of age or older.

ADULT CARE RESIDENCES

Adult Care Residences (ACR's) offer services to adults who may need supervision and help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting or eating. There are three different levels of care offered in Adult Care Residences: residential, regular assisted living and intensive assisted living. Individuals are pre-screened to determine the level of care needed. Adult Care Residences may also be referred to as adult homes, assisted living facilities or retirement homes. These facilities are licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services. Payment for care in ACR's is either by private pay or Auxiliary Grant Supplement. Auxiliary Grant eligibility is determined by the local Social Services agency.
