Youth

The Office of Youth Services maintains a youth services directory and provides support on youth issues to City Council and the City Manager.  The Police Department also directs a youth services program designed to deter criminal activities in public schools.  The Chesapeake Public Library also offer extensive children's activities, including reading programs, storytime, educational demonstrations and much more throughout the year. The Agriculture Department / Virginia Cooperative Extension Service, offers the 4-H youth program.
