All City of Chesapeake offices, courts and community centers will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 4.
Chesapeake public libraries will be closed on both Sunday, September 3, and Monday, September 4. Library book drops will remain open for the return of materials.
There will be no changes to trash and recycling collection schedules, as there are no regular pick-ups on Mondays. The City’s Visitor Center, located at 1224 Progressive Drive, will be open regular hours throughout the holiday weekend.
All offices and facilities will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, September 5.
