AFFECTED AREA: Dominion Boulevard between Grassfield Parkway and I-64/464
DATES: Saturday, October 29 through Monday, October 31
INFORMATION: The final two bridge spans on Dominion Boulevard (at Cedar Road and the Veterans Bridge) are scheduled to open this weekend. In addition to opening the spans, crews will reconfigure ramps and traffic signals for the final layout. All four lanes from Grassfield Parkway to the interstate are expected to be open on Monday, October 31. The multi-use path on the southbound span of the Veterans Bridge will not be open for another 1-2 weeks.
Once all four lanes are open on Monday, October 31, a toll system testing period of approximately 30 days will begin. No tolls will be collected during the testing period. As we approach the end of the testing period, we will announce the tolling start date. Motorists are encouraged to use this time to get their E-ZPass to take advantage of the lower rates once tolling begins. Passenger vehicle rates will start at $1 with an E-ZPass and $3 without an E-ZPass.
