In observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays, Chesapeake City government offices and facilities, along with the Chesapeake Courts, will close at noon on Friday, Dec. 22, and remain closed through Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and Tuesday, Dec. 26. City offices, courts, libraries and the DMV Select will be closed Monday, Jan. 1, and Tuesday, Jan. 2. All community centers will be closed Monday, Jan. 1, but will open from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
The Chesapeake Visitor’s Center, 1224 Progressive Drive, will have normal operating hours with the exception of Monday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Jan. 1, when it will be closed for the day.
