Chesapeake Farmers' Market
The Chesapeake Farmers’ Markets opened on June 18th, at three different locations. Our markets promote locally grown produce, therefore we open in June, just as local produce begins to come in.
The third location was at the Battlefield Park at 120 Reservation Road. This is an open air market beside the Albemarle Canal, on the south side of the Great Bridge bridge. This market has closed for the season.
The Chesapeake City Park and the Western Branch Community Center are both Saturday only markets now, with different end of season closing dates.
Please come out and support our local farmers who will be offering fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, plants, eggs, honey, meats and value added products made from things grown on the farm.
Promote locally grown agricultural products to stimulate the farm economy and preserve our agricultural base. Provide an opportunity for citizens to enjoy fresh products directly from local farms.
