Chesapeake Farmers' Market
The Chesapeake Farmers’ Markets promote locally grown produce, therefore we will open June 10th, just as local produce begins to come in. Local producers will be offering fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, plants, eggs, honey, meats and value added products made from things grown on the farm.
There are two markets that will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The first location is at the Market Place covered shelter at the Chesapeake City Park, which is at 900 City Park Drive. The second Farmers' Market location will be at Battlefield Park located at 120 Reservation Road south of the Great Bridge bridge, beside the Albemarle Canal.
The Battlefield Park South and the Western Branch Community Center markets are open air markets, so be aware weather may affect operation of the markets.
Please come out, starting June 10th, to see the fresh wholesome foods available from local producers.
Promote locally grown agricultural products to stimulate the farm economy and preserve our agricultural base. Provide an opportunity for citizens to enjoy fresh products directly from local farms.
