Requesting a New Street Light

There are a variety of factors that go into the decision to install a new street light.  To learn more about the process or to request a new streetlight, call the Customer Contact Center at 757-382-CITY (2489) or e-mail the Traffic Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works at trafficengineering@cityofchesapeake.net.

Reporting a Street Light Outage

To report a street light outage, contact the Customer Contact Center at 757-382-CITY (2489) or submit your request online. Your report will be forwarded to the Traffic Engineering Division for investigation and repair.
