Animal Services New Facility
COMPLETE
The new Animal Services facility project consists of an approximately 29,000 square foot building and associated site work on an 8.5 acre site at 2100 South Military Highway. It replaces the City's undersized and obsolete facility. The goal of the project is to provide a modern, welcoming facility to promote pet adoptions and reduce the existing shelter's euthanasia rate. This project is the City's first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified facility. The facility opened in December 2012.
