Major T. D. Branch Commanding Officer

Major T. D. Branch is one of three Majors assigned to the command staff of the Chesapeake Police Department. Major Branch is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the Department's Patrol Operations Bureau. The Patrol Operations Bureau is comprised of all five Police Precincts, the S.W.A.T. Team, the Dive Team, the Marine Patrol Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Police Chaplain Unit,and the Public Information Associates.

The main focus of the Patrol Operations Bureau is to partner with citizens and other City Departments to identify, prioritize and solve contemporary problems such as crime, fear of crime, illegal drugs, and neighborhood decay, with the goal of improving the overall quality of life in Chesapeake.
