Donation Program

You can help the animals at the Chesapeake Animal Services Unit in a number of ways. The City of Chesapeake allows us to maintain a donation account, so you can be assured that your contributions will go directly to help our animals. Here's how you can help: Collect aluminum cans, foil, etc. and bring these to the shelter. We recycle these products for cash which is used to purchase vaccines and medicines for shelter animals. Cash donations are also accepted for this purpose. Make your check payable to Chesapeake Humane Society and mail it to 3807 Cook Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23323. Your donation may be designated for treatment of injured and sick animals or for the purchase of vaccines and medicines, or even our building fund.

Be part of the Friends' Tree of Hope.  Friends of Chesapeake Animal Services is building a tree of hope that will stand in the lobby of the new Animal Services Shelter facility.  Honor someone you love, four-legged or two, with a leaf on the tree.
