Design Guidelines for the City of Chesapeake
On May 15, 2007, City Council adopted a Design Guidelines Manual for development and redevelopment in the City as Appendix M of the 2026 Comprehensive Plan.
The manual focuses on mixed-use, infill and gateway development. The guidelines also include strategies to enhance the character of Chesapeake’s
rural areas.
