Elizabeth River Boat Landing and Park

Elizabeth River Pier The Elizabeth River Park, located on the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River, has one of the most active boat ramps in the Hampton Roads area. Boaters are able to enjoy easy access to the Elizabeth River and the well-known "Hot Ditch" fishing zone. Boaters can launch and be at the hot ditch in a matter of minutes.

Other Park Amenities:

144' long pier for fishing and crabbing
Play area
Picnic Shelters w/grills (100' x 40' picnic shelter - used for community events and family reunions)

Adjacent to the park is the newly completed South Norfolk Jordan Bridge. This bridge is truly an engineering marvel, spanning the distance between Chesapeake and Portsmouth at a maximum height of 160 feet that allows for huge ships to pass under it.

To further enhance the park, the City of Chesapeake is in the process of designing additional amenities that will be installed later in 2013.
