Elevator Inspection Fee

• Annual inspections of all elevators, dumbwaiters, moving stairways, moving walks, and man lifts are required to be performed by an approved third party elevator inspector. Upon the completion of the inspection, a certificate of compliance will be issued by the City of Chesapeake.  A $40 fee of each moving devices is required
• Periodic or Routine (six-months inspection) of all elevators, moving stairways, and moving walks except dumbwaiters and man lifts are required to be inspected every six months by an approved third party elevator inspector.  A $40 fee of each aforementioned devices is required.
