School Supply Drive

The Chesapeake Youth Committee (CYC) collects and distributes school supplies to the Chesapeake Public Schools Title I Program. City employees, CYC members, and citizens donate the supplies and/or funds. This program works with low-income children to improve their reading and math skills.

During the drive, the CYC asks individuals, community groups, service clubs, civic leagues and faith-based organizations to donate supplies such as

notebook paper
pencils
crayons
erasers
backpacks
pocket folders
composition books
notebooks.

The drive takes place from August – September.
