Bureau of Community Programs
The Bureau of Community Programs consists of four (4) areas of service.
Customer Contact Center
The Customer Contact Center is the city’s first point-of contact for residents, visitors and individuals doing business with the city. The Customer Contact Center provides customers with personalized service, faster problem resolution and easy access to knowledgeable assistance. Customers may dial one easy telephone number to receive assistance and information on a wide range of City services and events. The Bureau of Community Programs serves as a resource center for affordable housing, homelessness, and housing for the elderly and the disabled. The Bureau administers certain housing, community development, and homeless programs for the City of Chesapeake and oversees the operation and administration of various grant programs funded by Federal, State, and other sources.
The Bureau of Community Programs coordinates revitalization efforts and connects residents to services and information to enhance the quality of life in the City of Chesapeake, Virginia.
Office of Youth Services
The mission of the Office of Youth Services is to coordinate, enhance, and promote the best community services and resources for children and youth through multi-facet approaches.
