The Airport Authority provides for the construction, maintenance, and operation of the Chesapeake Municipal Airport complex to serve the needs of Chesapeake citizens.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Chesapeake Airport Authority is to construct, maintain, repair and operate the Chesapeake Regional Airport in a manner that will provide the citizens and businesses of the City of Chesapeake and its neighboring communities with facilities and services that engender convenient, safe, secure, reliable, and cost-effective access to the nation’s air transportation system, and by so doing, contribute to the economic growth and vitality of the City of Chesapeake.
